Software Tester

Improve the quality of your business’s software

Your Software Tester is responsible for the quality of the business’ software development and deployment.  Your apprentice will ensure that all of the business’ software is operating as intended. Your apprentice will carry out testing plans and provide your business’ stakeholders with information about the quality of the software product or service. From this apprenticeship, your business will gain a strong understanding of the current software life-cycle and best software development practices.

Who is it for

This programme is ideal for a mid-level role within the Software Development team to specialise in Software Testing for the business. The Software Tester Apprenticeship will provide the business with a better understanding that all systems are fit for purpose and how to mitigate risk to prevent software issues.

  • ISTQB Certified Tester – Foundation Level
  • Software Tester Level 4 Apprenticeship

Eligibility for the Software Tester apprenticeship

Apprentices must meet the following criteria:

  • To be at least 16 years old
  • Have English and Maths GCSEs at grade C (4) or above
  • The right to live and work in England
  • To be able to commit to a full-time job plus the apprenticeship training
  • To not hold a similar testing qualification at level 4 or higher
